Eventful

It's now 1.42am and I finally get to sit back and relax, especially in the comfort of my bed. *ahhhhhh*

Started first day of work today - waitressing at a buffet restaurant. It's really effing hard work man! I knew it would be really tiring, so I guess since I expected it to be tough, it wasn't as bad as I thought it'd be. Despite the hard work, very very very sore legs and blisters on my feet, I'm really really happy. First time I'm actually earning money with my own efforts and bare hands. And it's coz of this job too that I get to stay in UK for longer. =)

At the beginning, it was quite screwed up man. I wasn't told of anything, what to do, where to put things, where to get things etc. The minute I arrived, I was told to change and got to work straight after I've changed into their uniform. I was only told to clear up empty plates on the table whenever I see some in that section. The next thing I knew, I was told to clean and set up table #2. I thought to myself: "WTF!?!?!?! Tables everywhere! Which one!? =.=" I guess they saw my confused expression, and a guy was kind enough and asked me to follow him. So then I knew where the table numberings started. It's logical how'd the numbers will go. But my section's numbering screwed up man. One table can be #16; but the one next to it can 62A! WTF!!!??? LOL! I wasn't able to clean up a few tables I was told to just coz I couldn't find them! HAHAHA! =.= After observing and doing stuff myself, I kinda got into the mode. I was fast at cleaning up tables and clearing plates etc. James told me to be really hardworking, and so I did. I was so hardworking until people there were like: "Ok girl! Don't have to be that hardworking. Chill!" Looool. The staff there can be really serious and strict while working, but they were really jokes after. When shift was over, everyone just sat down together and ate. I got to know more of them then. Everyone was really jokes!

Before work today, James and I went shopping. Guess what we bought???? He bought me pets at long last!!!! Wheeeeeee~~ I've always wanted a hamster. First time owning pets since almost 10 years ago. I had two dogs when I was living in my old house. They were called Mickey and Minnie. James wanted to name them Mickey and Minnie too, but unfortunately the hamsters are all females, so he thought of Minnie and Tinny. I didn't like them. They were nameless until some friends came over and noticed that one really likes going on the wheel, and the other one seems like it really wants to escape. Hence, one of my friends came up with the names Marathon and Ninja respectively. Haha! The 2 names didn't seem too feminine, so James and I adapted them to Mara and Nina. =)=) Ima re-think it now though, coz it seems like Nina really likes staying in the tunnel. Might just name her Tuna instead. LOL!

- Our shopping trolley.

- Hamsters that we were looking at. They're soooo cute and tiny! Do you see their "house" at the back of the pic? At first we thought there were only 3 of them. But when the staff lifted the house up to let us have a look at the hamsters, there were like 8 of the piled up on top of each other! 8 in that small hole!!!! SO CUTE!!!

- In the process of setting their new home.
I guess, in short, what I'm saying is that I feel like everything's falling into place bit by bit. I have a bf who loves me dearly; I have a job (at long last!) so that I can support myself without using my parents money (eventually); I'm not doing too bad with my studies; I am enjoying my life. =)

15 Months Anniversary

Once again, our relationship has reached another milestone amongst yet many many more milestones to come. Despite there being huge rows and misunderstandings, we've managed to progress further than any other couples brought together by the renowned 110 Charter Avenue house party in 2008. Everyone's been saying: "I'm surprised James and Krystal managed to last this long!" I like surprising people. Teeheehee XD

As James will be busy at uni today, we decided to celebrate this little occasion yesterday. However, we failed miserably at it. Hahaha! First of all, we got up late. We kinda planned to got ice-skating, but everywhere shuts early on Sundays. Stupid UK! So that was out. Then we decided to make pancakes. The plan nearly failed as there wasn't enough milk. But James managed to get to the supermarket JUST in time before it closed. He had to negotiate with the security at the entrance to let him in. Lol. We were supposed to go out for dinner too, but overslept YET AGAIN. LOOOOL! What can I say? We are a couple that loves sleeping! =)=) We just ended up ordering takeaway and watching anime, Bleach.

Basically, the only thing that came out right today was pancakes!!! *yum yumsss* Look at how much we made! Couldn't finish them all.

I like it though. Just the both of us..... staying in..... spending time with each other doing nothing....... one chilled but loving day.. =D

Kampung Kid

Once upon a time, there was a kampung (village) kid. He has always been a smart kid. Thus, his parents sent him to the city to further his studies. Every little single, tiny, insy-winsy thing amazed him when he first set foot on city soil.

He lives with his Aunt in the city. His Aunt showed him the lifestyle of a city resident. There were a lot of good food that he has never tried before. Whenever given the opportunity to taste one, he'll just go crazy with it and just keep stuffing that into his mouth whenever possible.

One day, his elder cousins brought him out grocery shopping. I'll just name them Boy and Girl for the purpose of this story. Girl saw some ice-cream cones on a shelf and asked Boy whether they should get some, since there was Ben & Jerry's at home. They could have ice-cream on cone as Girl knew Boy liked it. Boy agreed and they bought some.

The next day, this was what happened:
Boy: Girl, do you want to watch a film?
Girl: Okay. Do you want ice-cream? I can scoop it onto the cones we bought, and we can have some while watching the movie?
Boy: Yeah. Go for it.
Girl: Kampung kid, do you want some?
Kampung kid: Har!? I finished them.
Boy: Did you just eat the cones?
Kampung kid: I didn't know you guys still wanted them.
Boy: Did you eat ALL of them?
Kampung kid: I have been having them for two days now. They are biscuits, aren't they?
Boy: Don't you know how to eat them?
*Girl just stared at Kampung kid, while trying to hold back her laughter that was trying to burst out.*
Boy: Xiang xia ren jiu shi xiang xia ren.

***THE END***

This story is based on a true story.

Moral of the story: Look/read the packaging before eating whatever is inside.

Nothingness

When there's nothing better to do, especially if you're in uni with the sole purpose of accompanying your beloved boyfriend while he's busy with his work and you're just sitting here wasting time away, the best thing to do besides Facebook is Sushi-Go-Round:

I guess James is right. If there's anything that I am best at, it's sacrificing for my boyfriend. What can I say? I am just that good of a girlfriend. L-M-A-O!!!
